In some motorbike industry news today, we are pleased to report on one of the latest releases from Japanese owned brand known as Honda which comes in the shape and form of the all new CBR 1000 SP model. The bike has recently been launched onto our streets here in the UK and across other parts of the world too. Over the years Honda have become one of the finest motorbike makers around the world and have certainly proved this by some models including the likes of the fire blade and the Repsol blade but, what is it about this all new CBR addition to the range that makes it stand out above the rest and why should you choose to make the investment into this model over anything else currently on offer ?.

So with that being said, what has gone into this brand new Honda model to make it stand out above the rest and even rival similar 1000cc machines from the likes of, Kawasaki,Suzuki and Ducati ?. Well firstly we see the welcome addition of a 1000cc engine that comes complete with an electric starting system. We also see the welcome additions of a 12V battery and a 17.5 litre fuel tank capacity. The engine comes fully liquid cooled and comes fully fitted with 16 valves. It also has a 3.7 litre oil capacity. The Honda also comes fully fitted with a six speed,transmission system.

There have also been a few upgrades to the bike over previous models too and we see these come in the form of the braking system on the machine. The front brake comes complete with 4 piston calipers where as the rear brake comes with a single piston caliper. Both wheels are made from 12 spoke cast aluminium therefore allowing for a much more performance based machine. In regards to the look and design of the bike itself, it looks similar to that of the CBR 600RR model but a little wider and it also comes with the classic HRC race colours so the whole bike is made from white, red and blue.
