Ducati have named their new boss

Ducati get new boss

Claudio Domenicali is the new boss at Ducati.

Its all change at the top for the iconic brand.

It has been announced that Gabrielle Del Torchio, who is the CEO at Ducati, is being replaced by Claudio Domenicali. The rumours emerged earlier this week that suggested that Del Torchio was going to be leaving the firm. The rumours were officially confirmed early yesterday morning, 18th April. The super bike brand has in recent years gone from strength to strength and built upon its reputation for design.

Del Torchio is actually set to join Alitalia, an Italian Airline company and therefore will be replaced by Domenicali, who is the General Manager at Ducati.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of , Rupert Stadler said that Del Torchio was there and guided Ducati when the company faced an economically difficult phase to success and also to the top of the Worldwide premium performance motorcycle segment. For this achievement, Stadler said the company would like to express their gratitude on behalf of all Ducati and Audi employees and that they would like to wish him all the best for the future.

Domenicali has been part of Ducati since 1991

The new Ducati CEO, Claudio Domenicali has been a part of the superbike company since 1991. Following a variety of management positions, he was then promoted to the position of Managing Director of Ducati Corse, in 1999, then in 2005 he came the R & D Director.

Domenicali was appointed the position of General Manager Operations and Product Development in 2009. Following global domination from the German super brand Volkswagen three years later in 2012 after the sale of Ducati Motor Holding to Audi AG, he was confirmed a member of the Board of Directors. Lets hope that Domencicali has as much success with the Ducati brand, as boss, as Del Torchio was.
